Stay Cool with ZERO BREEZE

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It

I bought this unit for my trailer so I wouldn't have to run my big generator to power the camper AC. I bought two batteries for it so I can run and charge it simultaneously. I used it on full AC for about two hours, then switched to the next lower setting for another two hours, and finally switched to fan only when I went to bed. The next morning, I still had over 60% charge on both batteries.

Installing the Breeze unit the right way! I love this setup. it cost about $250.00 dollar's more to install it like this. Well worth the money. Every body ask me about the box on the roof of my Teardrop trailer. LOL I tell them its the a/c unit and they say wow very cool.

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 generates 2X stronger cooling power with 2300 BTU and 40% higher cooling efficiency than before. In just 5 minutes, the powerful compressor can reduce the outlet air temperature by 20°F/11°C.
We know that under the average sun exposure, the temperature in the cabin will rise, because the heat generated by sunlight is 283.6 BTU/sq ft, and the area of 25 sq ft is about 7090 BTU, which will far exceed ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 capability of 2300 BTU. That’s why the average cooling capacity of a car air conditioner is far more than 10,000 BTU.
If the insulation of the cabin is very good, or it’s at night, the situation will be much better. As there is no external source of heat, ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 will be a perfect cooling option for sleeping all night.

1.Use a refrigerant like R134A

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 AC uses R134A refrigerant. The feedback data of the engineer will not require any adjustment for normal operation for at least 4 years, unless the air conditioner fails, please send it to our after-sales center for processing.

2.Size of the space can be cooled

The ideal cooling area for ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 is 25~40 sq ft. If space is larger than that, although the cooling effect of the whole space is not obvious, you can also feel comfortable at a location closer to the air conditioner, especially near the cold air vent. The cool air can be breezed as far as 2m distance when it works at the highest speed. You may also use two or more Mark 2 to work simultaneously, depending on the size of your space size and you're personal.

3.BTU

When we are going to cool down a given size space, the cooling effect is closely related to the number of people inside, the insulation condition, the sun exposure, and the climate. Based on our test, it’s ideal cooling space is 25~40 sq ft, while the ambient temperature is 100F/38C, humidity is about 50%, no direct sunlight, good insulation condition, and the temperature can be reduced by 9-22°F/5-10°C.
Zero Breeze Mark 2 has a cooling capacity of 2300 BTU/h. The following website has a reference calculation of the BTU needed given the space size. The actual result has a certain deviation from the calculation.

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 works like a car air conditioner, but we have made a lot of improvements in terms of structure size, power supply, noise reduction, and portability, so that it can cool you in the vehicle without having to keep the engine running all the time, which is very quiet and saves energy.
When using it in the vehicle, we need to consider the size of the space to be cooled, the sun exposure, whether there are windows or doors to mount the venting hose, drainage problem, and power supply.

1.The size of the space to be cooled

The ideal cooling area for ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 is 25~40 sq ft. If the space is larger than that, although the cooling effect of the whole space is not obvious, you can also feel comfortable at location closer to the air conditioner, especially near the cold air vent. The cool air can be breezed as far as 2m distance when it works at the highest speed.
You may also use two or more Mark 2 to work simultaneously, depending on the size of your space size and your personal cooling needs.

2.Sun exposure

We know that under the average sun exposure, the temperature inside the car will rise dramatically, because the heat generated by sunlight is 283.6 BTU/sq ft, and the area of 25 sq ft is about 7090 BTU, which will far exceed ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 capability of 2300 BTU. That’s why the average cooling capacity of a car air conditioner is far more than 10,000 BTU/h.
Therefore, using the ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 air conditioner in the vehicle during the day is difficult to cool the whole space dramatically, but you can feel comfortable at location closer to the machine, especially near the cold air vent. It is recommended to use Mark 2 after the space has been cooled by the vehicle air conditioner to keep the cool temperature, which is a good choice for temporary rest or cooling the pet.
But in the shade, especially at night, the situation will be much better, because there is no external source of heat, which is a very good cooling option for campers or trucks.

3.Venting hoses

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 uses dual hose venting heat system. One hose takes in fresh air, and then the air passes through the condenser and takes its heat away through another hose. When you know how it works, you will understand what you need to do with the two hoses. The best way to cool down a space is to connect the two hoses and separate them slightly out of the window or outside the door.
You may need some DIY when installing the hose, and we will also develop some accessories.
It should be noted that the dual hose does not bring the outside fresh air into the vehicle, but passes through the condenser and then goes out of the machine. Therefore, when you or the pet is resting in the vehicle, please do not keep the space completely sealed.

4.Drainage problem

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2, like a traditional air conditioner, turns the gaseous water in the air into liquid. It uses gravity to collect and drain the generated water. The inside space can store condensed water for about 1-2 hours, depending on the humidity. You may raise the Mark 2 backwards to drain water to somewhere when it’s full;
You can also connect the water pipe comes with unit to drain the water to a collector/bottle or directly to the ground.
It should be noted that when the vehicle is bumping, the water may leak from the front or the side. It is recommended to raise the front of the air conditioner slightly when using it, and fix it well to prevent rollover. However, you don't have to worry too much about the product being damaged, because the internal circuit is processed to be waterproof for a short time.

5.Power supply

ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 supports the use of 24v battery or power adapter to access 110-240V power supply. Its maximum power is about 240W, and the corresponding maximum current is about 10A. We know you may want to power the air conditioner directly through the cigarette lighter. But you need to find out if your cigarette lighter outputs 24V and can provide enough power (240W). Usually the cigarette lighter in the car outputs 12V, and you need a 12V to 24V converter. Considering the conversion efficiency of the converter, at least 250W power (close to 21A peak current) is required from the cigarette lighter. If this is not the case, it is not recommended to use the cigarette lighter to power the Mark 2 as this will damage your cigarette lighter circuit.
If you have an inverter supply system with more than 250W outputs 110V/240V, you can use the adapter comes with Mark 2 to make the air conditioner work. If not, it is recommended that you use the ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 battery to power the air conditioner. It normally can work for 3-5 hours in cool mode (more than 5 hours in sleep mode).
You can charge the Mark 2 battery through the 12V-24V converter connected to the cigarette lighter port. It should be NOTED that Mark 2 battery does not support working while charging. If you want to power the machine while charging the battery, you need to buy an extra battery and an extra power adapter.

1.In-car charging

Only the Mark 2 Battery can be charged with a car power adapter. You can purchase the 12V to 24V DC-DC car power adapter on our website sparely.
It is not recommended to use the adapter to power the Mark2 air conditioner directly, as it may damage your power source once it isn't able to supply continuous and sufficient power. There are two functional connectors, one is for a 12V car cigarette lighter interface, and the other is for wiring directly to your 12V battery positive and negative electrodes.

2.Solar charging

The air conditioner itself does not support solar charging, solar energy can only charge the battery. There are 2 methods to charge the mark 2 with solar energy.

1) The Mark2 's dedicated battery that we provided supports solar energy with an output voltage between 20V-36V, but you need to purchase a connection wire to connect the solar output and our battery.

2) Choose a battery that supports solar charging at the same time this battery can power Mark2. But please pay attention to the following essentials.

A. Check the battery output interface, is it 24V DC output? Or 110 / 220V AC output? Or other voltage output (such as 12V DC)?

B. If the battery is 24V DC output, you can use our dedicated wire to connect the battery to power Mark2. (It should be noted that when connecting, the positive pole of the wire should be connected to the positive pole of the battery, and the negative pole of the wire should be connected to the negative pole of the battery)

C. If the battery is 110 / 220V AC output, you can use the Mark2's own adapter to connect to supply power.

D. If it is another output voltage, you need to use our dedicated transformer equipment to ensure that the voltage connected to the air conditioner is 24V. For example, if your battery output is 12V, then you may need such a transformer.

*It is important to note that when using your own battery to power the Mark 2, you will need to be aware of your operation and ZERO BREEZE will not be responsible for damage caused by this operation.

3.Used while charging

Mark 2 can only be operated with one or two batteries or operated with the power adapter. If you need to run it while charging, please purchase the Power Extension Dock for Mark 2

4.Adapter , power transmission

The air conditioner comes with an ac adapter that runs on 100-240V, and the power consumption is 150-300w.
To learn more about our products please check the SPEC & FAQ under the products.

5.Why use 24V instead of 12V?

Under the condition of the same cooling power, using 24V compressor and 24V drive circuit will generate less current, which will generate less heat, reduce waste of invalid power, improve the efficiency of the whole system and improve battery usage time

6.Plug specifications

We have US, CN, JP, AU, EU and UK standard.
We will deliver the socket according to the customer's receiving address. Customers can also note the required socket specifications when placing an order.

1.Battery Charging Time

2.Can only use with battery?

You can use the ac plugged in as long as you want, Or you can use it with portable battery for 5 hours, And it takes about 6 hours to charge a battery fully, You can also charge the battery with solar panels, in-car charging. Or your own battery supply.

3.Battery Life

The battery can be charged and discharged over 500 times but it will eventually wear out.

4.Use with own battery

You can run the unit with your own battery, but please pay attention to the following essentials.

1. Check the battery output interface, is it 24V DC output? Or 110 / 220V AC output? Or other voltage output (such as 12V DC)?

2. If the battery is 24V DC output, you can use our dedicated wire to connect the battery to power Mark2. (It should be noted that when connecting, the positive pole of the wire should be connected to the positive pole of the battery, and the negative pole of the wire should be connected to the negative pole of the battery)

3. If the battery is 110 / 220V AC output, you can use the Mark2's own adapter to connect to supply power.

4. If it is another output voltage, you need to use our dedicated transformer equipment to ensure that the voltage connected to the air conditioner is 24V. For example, if your battery output is 12V, then you may need such a transformer.

It is important to note that when using your own battery to power the Mark 2, you will need to be aware of your operation and ZERO BREEZE will not be responsible for damage caused by this operation.
Please check out this video on how to.

The Sound Level of Mark 2 is 52dB (A)

How does the heat go out?

The heat energy is extracted from the room by the exhaust hose to outside. Venting hoses
ZERO BREEZE Mark 2 uses a dual hose venting heat system. One hose takes in the fresh air, and then the air passes through the condenser and takes its heat away through another hose. The best way to cool down space is to connect the two hoses and separate them slightly out of the window or outside the door.
You may need some DIY when installing the hose, and we will also provide some accessories.
It should be noted that the air brought in by one of the hose passes through the condenser and then goes out of the machine

Dual hose system

Inside ZERO BREEZE Mark II, we have integrated a revolutionary dual hose system to draw in fresh outdoor air and output the hot exhaust air through a separate hose. Dual Hose allows an intake hose to be used to circulate fresh air inside so that there is no negative pressure in the room also this structure will provide a greater unit performance efficiency and maximized output cooling power.

Install pipes in the car

To install the hose in your truck, please follow the below:
The battery package includes a foam adapter. So if you ordered the battery, you can use the foam adapter to extend the hoses to the outside.

Size of the aperture of the intake and exhaust pipe

The outer diameter of the intake and exhaust hoses is 11.1cm,
The inner diameter of the intake and exhaust hoses is 10 cm.

Size of drainage pipe

Length:80cm
Outer diameter:1.4cm
Inner diameter:1.2cm

Get a longer hose

If the hose we provide isn’t long enough, you should be able to find a hose with the same diameter online for the length you want.

The Mark 2 has a rated power of 240W, if the 12V cigarette lighter can stably provide 300W power, it can be connected to a 12V to 24V converter to directly power the air conditioner (the air conditioner's rated voltage is 24V). If the cigarette lighter's power is insufficient to power the air conditioner, you can consider charging the Mark 2's battery (battery power is 120W). For specific operational steps, you can refer to the blog post.

For optimal cooling in your truck, it's essential to install the exhaust pipe to expel heat. Also, putting up a blanket or something similar in the sleeping area can help make the cooling more effective. We recommend using Mark 2 during nighttime rest periods, as most customers rely on their own AC systems during the day and pre-cool the rest area before nightfall.
